Greetings, everyone! It's amazing how fast time flies when you're doing a million things every day, though I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Work continues on the game, but today I wanted to take a little time out to announce that our prequel novella, Unto the Breach: The Gathering, is going to be officially published next week!

I have to admit to being a bit excited, this is the longest story I've ever written to completion (other than the script for Unto the Breach), weighing in at about 21,000 words (or about 80-100 standard-size novel pages). It was a blast writing though, and very educational for myself as well. It's amazing when you have such well-defined characters as we do in our game, once you start writing them you just keep going and going and going because you want to see what they do next. I'm very proud of the result, and I hope you all enjoy it!

The novella will be available through Amazon's eBook market, and you'll be able to read it on either your PC or your Kindle if you have one. We don't have any plans at this time for a hard copy release, but, if it turns out to be popular or requested enough, we'll see what we can do. We decided to go with Amazon's seller services due to their ease of use and very generous royalty fees, as well as the sheer popularity of their market. A free copy of the novella will also be included with the full game upon its release.
