Equipment description: Wears full plate-mail armor, complete with chain-mail undercoat, for maximum protection. However, he fights with a spear, and thus does not have a shield. Has no inherent magical ability, but knows a number of techniques which allow him to still devastate his enemies.

Bio/personality: Conrad was born at roughly the same time as Alex, but is a few months older. While both Alex and Conrad are introverted, Alex is still at least somewhat outgoing, whereas Conrad rarely initiates a conversation himself. Though nothing particularly tragic has occurred in his life, he remains strangely stoic and distant.

Conrad and Alex have been friends for over a decade, and the two share similar views on countless topics, but still differ on a few issues. Conrad possesses a somewhat dark and sarcastic sense of humor, which Alex finds amusing, but others not so much.

During his time at Ryukendo, Conrad focused entirely on his physical prowess, realizing his lack of magical talent. He developed the physique necessary to battle in the heaviest of armor, but elected to fight with a spear, a somewhat non-traditional selection, and mastered a variety of techniques which allowed him to work his way around his opponent’s defenses. This worked well in his favor during the final tournament, where he placed third behind his two best friends, Alex and Mileena. Academically, Conrad also scored higher grades than Alex, especially excelling in history and language studies.

Growing up, Alex, Conrad, and Mileena frequently spent their time together, forming their own mini-circle of friends. As they grew older, Conrad, like Alex, realized he was beginning to have feelings for Mileena, though Conrad’s interest was more an infatuation, whereas he knew Alex truly loved her, and thus he never made any attempt at starting a relationship. Since neither of them made any signs of showing romantic interest, Mileena, who grew more popular at the school with each year, pursued relationships with other boys instead.

While Alex is a passionate person, Conrad is more logical in his thought process, and often acts as the voice of reason for Alex, who too frequently is inclined to think with his heart, rather than his head. As such, Alex remains appreciative of Conrad’s metaphorical slaps in the face to make sure he’s thinking straight.

In-game role: Conrad is pretty much the tank of the group, as he has the heaviest armor. He has the highest single-target damage out of anyone in the group, and also has a few self-buffs as well, to further increase his damage output. He’s the only member of the party that can naturally reach the maximum 9999 HP without any stat-boosting items, and thus can essentially take the most punishment, other than maybe Sophie.
